我們的裝修工程繼續進行中，總承建商一直給我們一些不愉快的經歷，我們可能無法在6月初搬入。請為我們的特別工作小組所付出額外的時間，精力，耐心地處理所有的問題祈禱。請留意我們將於5月23-24(週六，週日)將我們的大部分物資搬進新設施。我們需要你們的幫助，使我們的工作變得更順利。請於星期日到我們的Facility Committee報名。

Progress
1. We have received 5 Change Orders (CO) as of 5/6 (Wednesday) and we have approved the following:
- Wall insulation, framing, drywall of interior perimeter existing furred walls (reason: pre-exiting wall conditions not account for during design ) - Duct extension at foyer (reason: pre-existing conditions not matching the design)
- Install exhaust fan circuit (reason: not included in the bid drawing)
- 23 emergency ballast (reason: plan check comment after bidding)
- Wood supports, draft stops & subwoofers framing (reason: plan check comments and missing details in design)
- New soffit at foyer to cover up the A/C unit (add item)
2. All the walls have been double sided and GC will start to paint the sanctuary next Wednesday. GC will start framing and drywall the new soffit at foyer and also fur the existing walls after GC gets the CO approval from us.
3. GC is finishing up the T-bar next week and will drop the ceiling tile on May 18 (Monday).
4. Inspector visited the site on May 5 (Tue) and commented that the two existing exit doors at the children rooms required a 5-ft wide landing outside the building per ADA requirement. We are working with the City and our architect and trying to eliminate these two doors as an exit way to avoid any cost and time impact.
5. GC clarified that the 6 days delay that they encountered earlier in the first month of construction will yield the completion date to June 10th.
6. Please continue to pray for the progress as there are a lot of uncertain conditions happened that could further delay the completion schedule. Pray for the team to have the wisdom and time to deal with the daily issues. Pray for our budget planning as there are many unexpected change orders coming up. |
