今天早上，師母和我參觀了我們新堂的施工現場，並與主管Mike交談了一段時間。他將盡量嘗試能趕上時間表及在5月底前完成所有裝修工程。教會和facility小組預計在5月份進行搬遷。我們正在收集搬運紙箱以將大部份現有物資包裝妥當。如果您有額外的搬運紙箱，我們歡迎你帶回到教會交給鉅叔。
我們計劃在5月9日搬遷教堂辦公室，並於5月23日將我們的大部分物資搬進新設施。我們將需要大量人力，請為我們祈禱，如可能的話，請於23日當天來幫助你的教會。如果你不能來整整一天，半天也無任歡迎！

Progress
1. As of today (4/8), we are still not receiving a contract from GC that they have promised to send out on Tuesday (4/7). Architect to follow up closely.
2. IT/cable subcontractor selected.
3. Second proposal from our AV system consultant received. Further negotiation needed before approving the proposal.
4. Savings is not enough to justify reusing existing doors, agreed to go back to the original plan, using all new doors.
5. City of Milpitas rejected our gas monitoring design plan. The church will have two separate PA systems. Revised plan will be submitted later this week.
6. Requested GC to provide minimum work on the roof patch, including repair work for all twelve (12) leaks per their inspection. Will revisit the matter in the coming fall before the raining season begins.
7. Got a quote for alarm and access control system from external vendor. Will finalize the terms before approving the proposal.
8. GC reported that the schedule has been delayed for 4 to 5 days due to the following reasons:
1. doors/frames - not being approved/resolved to re-use door frames
2. duct heights & existing ducts too short – the ceiling dropped to 10-ft to accommodate the existing conditions
3. AV drawings – need to be approved for rough install
4. demo of existing walls that needed to be approved to build a new walls
5. HVAC#7 – frame support for HVAC#7 such that ducts at foyer can run inside
9. GC continue working on a very tight schedule. Please keep praying hard for the progress. We definitely need our Lord to oversee the project and make the progress goes smoothly without further changes.
