親愛的匯點人，

報名參加星期六10:00am至5:00pm的特別培訓活動『關顧使命的藝術』已達30多人。如果這30人平均分佈在我們的小組，每一組將會有一個人或以上。如果這些參加者都實踐他們所學習的，並自覺地成為他們小組的關顧者，我相信我們的小組將會變得更能關顧弟兄姊妹的需要。如果你還未報名參加，我鼓勵你這樣做！因為我知道，我們的講員將透過幫助你了解你自己，教導你如何關顧他人。

教會課程101已定於8月11日及8月18日連續兩個星期二舉行。如果你認識有朋友還沒有參加這一課程，請幫助鼓勵他們參加。這個星期日將會是最後一天登記。

我們在8/16星期日將會有一個歡迎講廣東話新朋友的聚會。8/30也有另外一個是對講普通話的。這些都是讓新朋友認識教會的機會。請幫助鼓勵新朋友參加這個在我家裏舉行的聚會！

我們大專組將在8月17日與8月24日分別在DeAnza和Foothill院校擺設攤位。請為他們代禱，讓他們接觸到一些新的秋季學生，幫助他們認識匯點教會。

祈禱事項：

1. 感謝讚美神因祂讓我們有機會去服事別人。求主使我們能夠在社會的各階層成為別人的鼓勵，安慰，和幫助。
2. 請為MCR從本主日開始的親子互動活動代禱。求神使我們能夠幫助父母與孩子們建立更親密的關係並教導他們去遵行聖經的教導。
3. 請為College Zone在未來兩週的外展活動代禱。求神使我們有足夠的人力去幫忙邀請和關顧這些新學生。
4. 請為八月十五號星期六的小組領袖動員大會代禱。求主使我們能夠同心合力來加強我們的小組事工，使小組能夠在質量和數量上一同成長。
5. 請為八月二十二號的洗車活動代禱，求主使他們能夠看到我們願意關心和服務社區的心。

Dear Crosspoint basic

More than 30 people have signed up for the Caring Ministry workshop this Sat. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If these 30 plus people were evenly distributed from our small groups, we would have more than one person in each group. If these people do practice what they learn and become conscientious care givers in their group, I believe that the atmosphere of our small group definitely will be transformed to become more compassionate about people’s needs. May I encourage you to join the group if you haven’t done so! As I know, our speaker would help you understand who you are before sharing with you how to care others.

Class 101 has been scheduled on 2 consecutive Tuesday on 8/11 & 8/18. If you know someone who has not yet attended this basic class, please help encourage them to sign up the class. This Sunday will be the last day for signing up.  We will also have a welcome reception for the Cantonese speaking new friends on Sunday, 8/16 and another one for Mandarin speaking folks on Sunday, 8/30. These are opportunities to help new people connected with the church and you may encourage those you know to sign up for the reception held at my house!

Our college group will set up welcome booth at De Anza and Foot Hills on 8/17 & 8/24 respectively. Please pray that we would be able to reach some new students in the fall.

Prayer requests:

1. Praise and thank God for the opportunity to minister to others. Pray that we will be willing to become encouragers, comforters and care givers at different sector of our social life.
2. Pray for our MCR parent-kids interactive program beginning this Sunday that we would be able to help parents and kids build a stronger bonding and learn to do the right thing based on the teachings of the Bible.
3. Pray for the college outreach in the coming 2 weeks. Pray that we would have enough man power to help inviting and connecting with new students.
4. Pray for the small group leadership rally on Sat., 8/15 that we would be united to strengthen and develop the ministry of our small group so that we may grow in quality and quantity as well.
5. Pray for the car wash service on Sat., 8/22 that we would demonstrate our care for and willingness to serve our community.
