親愛的匯點人，

我們生活在一個充滿災難的年代。每當我們聽到不幸的消息，我們不能不確認這就是末世的徵兆。生命可以在彈指之間消失，我們所擁有的一切也可以突然煙滅！我們應該如何珍惜上帝給我們保留的每一天，又該如何使我們的生活變得更有意義？聖經說：你們要去宣告，天國近了，我們唯一的希望就是在位的王者。祂的名字叫耶穌！

上個星期五晚上，我正在一個輔導過程當中，於是讓一個電話轉到留言信箱。後來，我發現這是一位姊妹希望向一位在史丹福醫院病危的女士傳福音。因為她無法聯絡上我，就跟師母聯絡。師母將一些如何向垂危病人傳福音的方法在電話上告訴她。她鼓勵姊妹去向這位女士分享基督的愛。她終於嚐到她的第一個傳福音的成果！她只是一個信主一年左右的基督徒。親愛的弟兄姊妹，你還記得你上一次分享福音的情境嗎？那一次是在甚麼時候？你還記嚐到福音果子的喜悅嗎？

祈禱事項：

1. 為上週六的關顧事工講座感謝讚美神，很多弟兄姐妹都踴躍參加。求神使參加的人都能夠成為小組裏關顧的天使。
2. 請為新一季的MCR和芥菜種小組代禱。求主使我們的兒童和青少年都能得啟發並能照著基督的樣式成長。
3. 請為College Zone八月十七號在DeAnza和八月二十四號在Foothill的外展活動代禱。求神使我們能夠邀請新的學生到教會並能與他們建立好的關係。
4. 請為本主日午間粵語新朋友歡迎會代禱。求主使我們能夠使用每一個機會去邀請新朋友來參加。
5. 請為那些還沒有接受浸禮的信徒代禱。求主使他們能夠回應神的愛並願意透過八月二十三號的浸禮來表明他們的信仰。

Dear Crosspoint basic

We are living in an age filled with record breaking disasters. Every time when we hear news as such, we cannot help but identify these incidents as the signs in the last day. Lives can be wiped out in a snap of fingers and what we possess could be suddenly disappeared! How should we treasure each day that our Lord has preserved for us and what should we do to make our life become more meaningful? The Bible says: go and tell that the kingdom of heaven has come and our only hope is on the one who is on the throne. His name is called Jesus!

Last Friday night, while I was in a counseling session, I silenced a call. Later on, I found out that it was a sister in the Lord trying to get sharing the Gospel with a dying lady at Stanford. Since she was not able to reach me, she called C-mo. C-mo taught her a few things on the phone about sharing the Gospel with a serious ill person. She encouraged the sister going to share Christ’s love with the dying lady. She did and she tasted her first fruit of the Gospel! She is an one year old Christian. Folks, when was your last time sharing the Gospel with somebody? Do you still remember the joy of tasting the fruit of Christ’s Good News?

Prayer requests:

1. Praise and thank God for a great turned out last Saturday for the Caring Ministry seminar. Pray that these 40 people would become caring angels in their small group.
2. Pray for the new season of MCR and Mustard Seed that our children and youth would learn and get inspired to grow into the likeness of our Lord Jesus.
3. Pray for the college outreach at De Anza on 8/17 and at Foothills on 8/24. Pray that we would be able to invite new students to church and be friends with them.
4. Pray for the Cantonese speaking welcome reception this Sunday after the 2nd service. Pray that we would grab every opportunity to spread the news with accompany the new people in your group attending the reception.
5. Pray for those who have not yet received baptism. Pray that they would respond to God’s love and publicly express their faith in Christ through baptism on 8/23.
