Dear Crosspoint basic

While I was having a meeting at the church last Tuesday, I got an emergency call from home. C-mo told me that all my “Little Paul” have arrived for their last session. I thought it was Wed. but I missed their request for moving up to Tuesday. I did not have much option but asking them to follow the instruction and do it on their own. When I returned home after my meeting, they were praying in my living room. I overheard that they were praying for using their life to touch life rather than teaching the lessons. They were praying for God’s continued guidance in their life, work and family. After their prayer, one of them told me that he is getting uneasy when not praying every day. Another one shared that he used to separate devotion from his daily living as 2 tasks of the day but now, he has learned to live a life with deep devotion to the Lord. Yet, the other 2 expressed that they were ready to coach a Timothy.

Beginning in March, we will have 7 “Little Paul” discipleship equipper groups and more than 40 people receiving the training for doing one on one discipleship. Their life is going to be changed and so as those potential “Timothy.” May I ask you to pray for these people that the Holy Spirit will cleanse them and fill them for the regeneration of their life! Pray also for yourself that you would be someday become a “Timothy” and then, a “Little Paul.”

Prayer requests:

1. Praise and thank God for the overwhelming response to the idea of church-wide discipleship. Pray that God will oversee the process of this spiritual movement that the pastors may work closely with the Holy Spirit to produce godly disciples.
2. Pray for the pastoral staff as they would become extremely busy in leading 2-3 “Little Paul” equipper groups beginning next week. Pray that they would have enough physical strength and spiritual insight and mental energy to make disciples of the Lord.
3. Pray for those who have committed to become a “Little Paul” that they would be prepare to encounter God daily and open for life transforming interaction with their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
4. Pray for our prayer ministry as they are making plan to make Crosspoint a house of prayer. Pray that they would be able to inspire individuals and mobilize our small groups to make prayer an integral whole of their life and group.
5. Pray for the small group Bible study leaders as they will meet this Sunday afternoon for pre-study on the book of 1 John. Pray that they would learn not only to share the Bible study materials, but more important on how to respond to God’s Word.
