Dear Crosspoint basic

This past Sunday, we had a total of 5 people expressing their desire to become a Christian. Two from our Cantonese service, two from our Mandarin service and one teenager was led to accept Christ by Pastor Chan in the afternoon. Praise the Lord! Let’s pray that their faith will continue to grow and we will be able to get them into our discipleship program. At this point, we do not have enough “Little Paul” to take care of them.

The pastoral staff also spent sometimes today to divide all the people who signed up to be trained as “Little Paul” and work on the scheduling. We have a total of 40 people and we are going to have 6 groups. I remember when we had the vision sharing last month, we had about 60 people shown up. I told the people that if we had one half to sign up, we would have 30 people to start with. Praise to our Lord that we now have 40 people. He is good and always amaze us! Please pray for them and the 3 pastors that they would grow together as they open themselves in sharing their life together when we start.

This Sat., we will have the Mandarin Chinese New Year gathering in the afternoon. If you have someone in mind that you may be able to bring them with you, ask God to help you extend your invitation now. Please notify Pastor Chan or Pastor Justin once you confirm your invitation. Thanks!

Prayer requests:

1. Praise and thank God for using the ministry of Crosspoint to bless people and help people respond to God’s saving grace. Pray that many more people will meet God and feel His love at the church.
2. Pray for the pastors as each of them will lead 2 “Little Paul” groups beginning in March. Pray that they would have the wisdom and strength from above to manage their life, family and ministry.
3. Pray for the “Little Paul” candidates that they would learn to share life rather than share their understanding about being a disciple. Pray that they would become a growing learner rather than an eager teacher.
4. Pray for our Bible students at the “Numbers” class on Thursday that their desire for understanding God’s Word and divine providence would continue to grow.
5. Pray for the rebuilding of Hattie that the government will become more responsible in taking care of the welfare of its people and the people will get back on their feet quickly.
